Thank you all for your continued prayers for my sister.  This is the latest from her:

I wanted to send an update to thank you all again for all the prayers, phone calls, cards, emails and positive thoughts.  I met with the oncologist for the first time today and was happy to hear no real surprises.  He feels very positive about my prognosis and does not recommend any chemotherapy.  He has me started on a drug today that hopefully should help prevent reoccurrence.    I see my surgeon next Monday and at that time, he will schedule the radiation therapy that will be 5 days a week for about 7 weeks.   I'd love to stay on your prayer list, but I feel really lucky that the treatment will be fairly simple and straightforward at this point.   A dear friend of mine who has been through much more difficult treatment pointed out to me that despite these medical issues, life goes on pretty much as normal.   That's comforting!  In that spirit, we're off this weekend to celebrate Julian's 5th birthday and do some fun babysitting!  Wish I could reach out and hug all of you - thanks again -
Carol
ps - Nurse Tom has been laid low temporarily with a stomach bug so it's a good thing I'm in good shape and can put on my nurse cap.

She is special as you can see by her attitude and strength.  I am so blessed to have her and all of you in my life. Patti
