Class of 1965 Blog

Bob,

If finding out what caused the kidney failure is a good thing, then I guess it is a good thing.

The biopsy showed that Eddie suffers from "Multiple Melanoma".  This a form of blood cancer, sort of like Lukemia.  Erlanger is the only hospital in Chattanooga that has the machine than can screen the cancer cells from the blood.  He is under going five treatments (in addition to dialysis) in the hope it will unclog and restart his kidneys.  The disease is not cureable, but is treatable.

I spoke with Eddie tonight.  He semed upbeat about his chances.  He tolerates the procedures well.  Again, thank everyone for their prayers--keep praying!

Ron
