Class of 1965 Blog

Bill is at Emory Hospital in Atlanta awaiting word on his Whipple surgery.  They hope to get approval for a go sometime in the next week.  Bill is doing therapy for his stroke which has left him with a moderate disability on his right side.  He received 2 more units of blood this week and feels a little better.  The doctors are considering a procedure to go up the groin to stop the bleeding, giving them more time to stabilize his stroke, gout, bleeding, and general health.  His Neuro Stroke Doc and his Cardiologist have given approval for surgery, so he is just waiting to see when they feel he is ready.  Lindia and the children are holding up well considering the circumstances.  We appreciate all the thoughts, calls, visits, and prayers from our friends, as that is what is making this more bearable.
