"I just talked with Bill and he sounded great, and said the whipple was indeed for the pancreas.  He doesn't know when he'll have the procedure; the cardiologist is calling the shots.  He's expecting Lindia and the children any minute.  I've emailed my brother-in-law who is Chief of Medicine and the Cardiology division.  I hope to hear back soon, but he travels extensively for Emory.  I'd like for him to check Bill's chart/history and comfort us with the direction of his care!"
