....returned to the oncologist April 12th and received good news.  No sign of unhealthy cells at all.  My last tumor marker for ovarian cancer continues to be low.  The doctor wants to substantiate the status by having me add an additional tumor marker blood test - a HE4.  It is a secreted protein that is overly expressed and can be detected in high levels in women with ovarian cancer.  It is cleared by the FDA (just recently) for use to monitor recurrence or progressive disease in patients with epithelial cancer.  Supposedly, HE4 remains constant in 75% of patients without progression of disease.  I'll still have to continue to have CT scans every six months.....it's always something!

I told John this was an early birthday present for him :)
