Class of 1965 Blog

On April 4th, Peggy took her Mom to the oncologist expecting to get the agenda for treatment of her cancer.  The oncologist surprised her with a recommendation not to expose her to chemo therapy because her cancer in uncurable and would be extremely harsh at 84 years of age--only a 25% chance of extending her life and no quality of life according to the oncologist.  Without chemo, prognosis is she has 6 months or less to live.

When Peggy's Mon asked the doctor, he predicted she would experience liver failure toward the end, slip into a coma, and die in her sleep.  He response to that was "praise the Lord.  When you gotta go, that's the way."

Peggy and her sister have done a lot of research on nutritional therapy, specifically on called Ludwig Protocol, and have started their Mon on it.  Good for the non-cancerous cells, it will help and hopefully relieve some of the symptoms, and at best, it could put her in some state of remission.

Peggy said "we obviously have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so just continue to pray.  We pray for peace during the days ahead, and of course, that it will be the will of God that he spare her life for years to come.  She is quite a woman, and it has been my honor to have known her not only as my mother, but my very best friend."
