Bob: My career spanned 34 years. I was in the Air Force from 1966 until 1972. I was in the Army and Army Reserves from 1973 until my retirement in 2001. I retired as the Operations Sergeant Major (DISCOM) for the 29th Light Infantry Division in Maryland and Virginia. I spent 14 years in the Air Force and Army Special Operations Forces (Airborne). I was stationed all over the U.S., Alaska, Norway, Estonia, Italy, Germany and England. I retired with 30 years and 6 months of Active Service. After teaching and working for a year at the Citadel, I have been, for the past nine years, the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) for JROTC at Baptist Hill High School and Academy at Yonges Island, South Carolina. I have now been in uniform for 43 years–a fact that I am proud of. Best to all the other Vets, Police and Firemen. Thanks for taking care of the Central Blog. John L. Kuntz, Sergeant Major (R)
