Lori,

I received your card wishing me well on Mon and wanted to send a note saying thanks.

Last week was improvement week and this week I'm trying to have a normal week. It's been cold, but I've been outside walking and that feels much better.  Not doing my full 3 miles yet but should be back to that soon.  Feel free to share my email with anyone who asks.

Sandra contacted me and it was good to hear from her. She had personal experience with her dad, whose situation was pretty close to mine.  Plus her husband had problems from diabetes and had kidney transplants.

I will have a blood test in the next few days and visit with the surgeon on 2/25.  I think then I will know what tests and how often they will be done.  The Drs will be looking for things now.

In your note, you mentioned being brave.  It's really more of a case of doing what needs to be done.  You don't really think about it.

Again, thanks for the card.  That was very nice and uplifting.  And thank the committee, too.  I'm glad we have that group to help keep everybody in touch.  And I will send the updates on how this is all going.

Glad to be part of CHS '65!!
MIKE
