Tonight Brigadoon opens at the Signal Mountain Playhouse amphitheater.  Our lovely Kendra has the lead role and Ken and I are in the chorus.  We have been spending our evenings rehearsing and dancing in the heat - not sure that is a good idea at our age, but we have survived.  I have spent the day making our costumes, so time has been hard to come by.  I have one more vest to make today and I can put the sewing machine away!

For those interesting in joining us, all information can be found at smph.org, but in a nutshell it is this:  Admission is $10 and it is (very) open seating.  Most people come at 6:00 and purchase tickets; place their lawn chairs on the spot of their choosing and leave for dinner - or bring a picnic and just enjoy the great outdoors.  It is a beautiful setting, but the benches in the amphitheater are very uncomfortable, so I definitely suggest the lawn chair.  There is a concession stand with various snacks, cold drinks, pizza and, of course, popcorn.  We would love to see you there.  The theater is located just off the main highway and there will be signs pointing the way.  Parking is at the Signal Mountain Town Hall and is just a short walk down Laurel to the entrance.  We think it is going to be an excellent production (I can say that Kendra is awesome, but you might not take my word for it!) and the male lead, Greg Glover is equally as amazing.

Come to the Highlands and see us!
